Winter News
It’s been a little while since I’ve shared my news – I had a full traveling schedule in fall including a mini-tour with Susan Ann. I took December off, then Christmas and New Year came, and here we are in February! Do you ever feel that life goes faster than you can keep up?
But, wow, has God been working and loving through me and teaching me tons!
Plane Witnessing
Some of you have commented on how you enjoy reading my plane witnessing stories. Here are some more interesting people from my Washington flights last fall… Brady is a young chef searching for work, and unsure about his long-distance relationship. He gave me a great pancake-from-scratch recipe! He was sitting next to Paul, a 75 year old forever Catholic who believes Mary can intercede to God for us – He listened as I shared scripture about Christ being the only mediator between God and man, and encouraged him to search His Bible too. How awesome to pull out my Bible and read God’s word with this Catholic man on Reformation Day! On my return flight, I was surprised to find a man with no hand sitting next to me! +LeRoy, a ranger, had lost his hand in combat. After thanking him for his service, he told me his story as I shed some tears. He showed me his prosthetic limb that came with three different attachments for grabbing, pinching, and impersonating ‘Captain Hook’. Very amazing what modern technology can create! I found out that he is seeking a new purpose now, since he couldn’t return to active duty. LeRoy was afraid he would put his comrades in danger or be unable to act efficiently without the use of his hand. A month after we met, he actually emailed me to thank me for the “Everyday Christian” CD I gave him, telling me he and his wife love it! Finally, God put me next to +Jeremy, a Christian sound technician who is on the search for a steady and stable job. How fun to talk music and equipment and performance with someone who’s been running sound professionally in churches, and to get his advice and expertise! If you have a chance, pray for these children of the Father who are from all walks of life and whom God chose to allow me to touch in a small way, training me in the process.
New Music
NEW MUSIC is being written and work is planned to begin in the studio later this year for my 5th CD release, targeted for summer 2010!
I’M ON FACEBOOK – check out my profile and drop me a note… but sorry – I refuse to play with those superpoke pets or send any number of trinkets to my friends! Priorities…
